The Hotel Carlo IV is located on Senovazne namesti, in the historic centre of Prague, 100 metres from the railway station Hlavni Nazdrazi (underground Na Florenc) and 800 metres from Wenceslas Square. The historic centre is not very large, so you will be able to visit many points of cultural interest on foot : Charles Bridge, the Kafka Museum, Old Town Square. The Hotel Carlo IV is housed in a neo-Renaissance building dating to 1890, near Prague's famous Wenceslas Square. The hotel was once a bank, then a post office, and was most recently restored and enlarged, opening in 2003. The lobby was part of the original building and features tricolour marble, crystal highlights, sofas, and easy chairs in brilliant silk, palm trees, and a ceiling with worked moldings.

152 rooms are distributed between two linked buildings, one built in 1890 and the other in 2003. All are decorated in two distinct styles, neo-renaissance and contemporary, depending on the building they are located in. The facilities are modern.
