The Hotel Catalonia Ramblas is a beautiful, early 19th-century modernist building designed by Josep Majo Ribas. Once the site of the La Vanguardia newspaper offices, and recently renovated, the hotel is just a few meters (yards) from Plaza Catalunya and the world-renowned Ramblas. It has a small garden, inner courtyard and outdoor pool.
The hotel offers 221 guestrooms on seven floors, with a simple, contemporary décor, flat screen satellite television, video on demand and wireless internet access. Try out the spa with sauna and solarium, or enjoy excellent Mediterranean cuisine at the on-site restaurant. Nine meeting rooms available.

Central location: right in the middle of things. Was very unsatisfied about the staff on reception. They made loads of mistakes while we were here, and this disturbed our stay. The hotel is nice and so are the rooms. Still didn't think that it was good value for money.
